Aloha, I’m Luca Cattaneo.
After completing my University studies, I embarked on a rewarding career as a freelance and part-time journalist specializing in sports photography. My professional journey began in 1987 when I became an active member of the renowned PentaPhoto Agency in Milan. This pivotal role opened the door to a collaboration with The Associated Press Agency, where I had the privilege of covering some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events. Over the years, I have documented seven editions of the Olympic Games, more than a decade of Alpine Ski World Cups, and numerous World Championships across various disciplines.
For over two decades, I have passionately explored innovative techniques and creative approaches to photography. This ongoing journey has allowed me to capture the beauty, energy, and emotion of the world through my lens. My work has culminated in various personal projects and publications, including my 2006 book “Iceland Frames 1–50”.
On my Web site, you can explore some of my old and new images, along with my recent photo projects that reflect my evolving creative vision. Additionally, you can view more of my work and other projects by visiting my presentation Web site luca.lc following the provided links, or browsing through my Portfolio Galleries.
